The best view of the Hollywood Hills and Hollywood Sign

One of my favourite things to do in LA is was to sit on the balcony of our holiday rental and enjoy the view of the Hollywood Hills. The view boasted a 360 view of the Hills and the Hollywood sign. In this post, I’ll give you a glimpse of life in the Hollywood Hills and will tell you where we drove to find the best view of the Hollywood sign. Let me know if you have any other vantage points to suggest!

The Sounds of the Hollywood Hills

I believe the Hollywood Hills is the most peaceful and beautiful part of LA. As you weave through crooked roads, past Californian-style mansions and super star homes, we felt a sense of excitement. We spotted the white castle like mansion of Moby and the grafiti-filled mansion of Chris Brown. We drove through roads where the girls of the reality-tv series “The Hills” would have driven through many times. I would have been more star struck to see Lauren Conrad (LC) to be perfectly honest! 3 Reasons why you should not miss the CocoPalms Cultural Show at the Westin Denarau Fiji – and your baby will love it too!

When I think back at my Fiji trip, one of my favourite memories was on the very last night where we went to the CocoPalms Cultural Show. The show is located within the Westin Denarau hotel grounds and showcases everything that Fiji has to offer – well the most important things to me anyway. This was the second cultural show that I went to and although not the most authentic, it’s definitely the best one to take your family – especially an infant! Local lookout series: Maroubra Beach – Sydney beaches that make you feel like you’re on holiday

One of the benefits of living in Sydney is that there are so many places to visit and each area is different.

“Australia is a diverse melting pot of cultures and destinations waiting to be discovered”.

I plan to kick off a series of blog posts called “local lookout” which will show you many aspects of Sydney that I have explored and loved. It’s a chance for me to be a tourist in my own city but also a great way to show the diversity that exists in this beautiful city. Maroubra Beach is hidden gem. Yesterday, we were at a barbecue and after sitting around chatting and enjoying food, our wonderful hosts asked us if we wanted to check out the nearby beach. It was 5pm and the sun was still brightly shining, so we agreed to take a quick walk to the beach. When we reached the beach, I was surprised to see how busy it was and so late in the afternoon. There were surfers, swimmers and sun bathers enjoying the cool sea breeze and even cooler waters. Why the Fiji South Sea Island is great for a quick trip from Denarau and our accidental snorkel with a shark

Fiji is one of those island getaways where the list of things to do is endless. There were 300+ islands to choose from and not all of them were quick trips from Denarau. When travelling with an infant, we knew our limitations.

“People think you’re crazy when you want to book a Fiji island tour with an infant”

When we first asked about island tours, most of the tour desk agents were shocked that we would want to take our infant on a boat at all. They insisted that we stay on the island of Denarau and enjoy the the hotel. We spent many hours relaxing by the hotel pool while enjoying the scenery, but we were keen to visit some islands.

Our trip sponsor is RussianPhilately.com – Postage stamps of Russia and related areas for sale.

The Grounds of Alexandria – where to brunch with friends and a baby

Since having a baby, we’ve found it challenging to find lunch and dinner venues. This weekend, we decided to brunch with friends at The Grounds of Alexandria.

We’ve been wanting to check out The Grounds of Alexandria for awhile since it’s been popping up on my Facebook feed. My friends posted photos of delicious food and gorgeous foliage. Well, after visiting The Grounds of Alexandria, I’ve come to the conclusion that it is this and so much more.

The Grounds of Alexandria has a Cafe where you can brunch with friends (and baby!) in a quirky, fun atmosphere. There are food carts selling home made lemonade, fresh berries and freshly baked mouth-watering pastries that could rival those served in hatted restaurants! Best Fiji Island Tour with or without an infant

I love Fiji. I love the the Bula spirit. I love the fact that there are over 300 islands to visit and I especially love the fact that it’s a tropical paradise that is in close proximity to Australia. In this post, I’ll give you an idea of our experience with taking an infant on a very long boat journey to a deserted island but will also give you a glimpse of my favourite island adventure to date! Why my travel style has changed

Good morning everyone!

It has been a very long time since I have written a post. If you’re new to this blog, please read about me here first.

“Life has changed significantly.”

I am no longer living and working in London. We made the decision to move back to Australia to have our little family. We are not sure how long we will stay here but for now, I’d like you to meet someone very special.

This is Baby C. She is the new addition to our little family. Continue reading “Why my travel style has changed”

The sun always seems to shine when I am in Monaco

Monaco is famous for a lot of things such as the Montecarlo Casino, the Grimaldi Royal Family and the Prince’s Palace.

The last time that I visited Monaco was in the summer of 2011, during my honeymoon. Back then, the sun was shining brightly and the sky was as blue as can be. When I visited Monaco in November 2013, it was winter and funnily enough, we experienced the same weather conditions again!

What I love about Nice (France)

Nice, France. I have been here twice already and I still have fond memories of this place.

When Rick asked me where I wanted to travel to in December, I told him that we had not seen enough of France. I immediately remembered our Spring honeymoon which included a visit to Nice  three years ago. The weather was warm with a slight breeze and the promenade had a vibrant feel about it. Exploring Europe with my Parents: Paris, France (My favourite things to do)

The last leg of my parent’s Euro-trip was the ever fascinating city of Paris.

Paris is one of those cities that never ceases to amaze me. No matter how many times you visit, it will always have something special about it. There is something for everyone; elegant gardens, museums, romantic walks and the always glistening Eiffel Tower.
