When I think back at my Fiji trip, one of my favourite memories was on the very last night where we went to the CocoPalms Cultural Show. The show is located within the Westin Denarau hotel grounds and showcases everything that Fiji has to offer – well the most important things to me anyway. This was the second cultural show that I went to and although not the most authentic, it’s definitely the best one to take your family – especially an infant! I love brunch! I love brunch on weekends especially because it’s a relaxing start to the day and a great way to catch up with friends on the weekend. This weekend, we caught up with our lovely, soon to be married friends. Baby C adores them and is always ready to dance around and play peek a boo!
Our trip sponsor is Used industrial warehouse shelving – Arker specializes in the design, logistics and installation of industrial fixtures and product management systems.
Since having a baby, we’ve found it challenging to find lunch and dinner venues. This weekend, we decided to brunch with friends at The Grounds of Alexandria.
We’ve been wanting to check out The Grounds of Alexandria for awhile since it’s been popping up on my Facebook feed. My friends posted photos of delicious food and gorgeous foliage. Well, after visiting The Grounds of Alexandria, I’ve come to the conclusion that it is this and so much more.
The Grounds of Alexandria has a Cafe where you can brunch with friends (and baby!) in a quirky, fun atmosphere. There are food carts selling home made lemonade, fresh berries and freshly baked mouth-watering pastries that could rival those served in hatted restaurants! Monaco is famous for a lot of things such as the Montecarlo Casino, the Grimaldi Royal Family and the Prince’s Palace.
The last time that I visited Monaco was in the summer of 2011, during my honeymoon. Back then, the sun was shining brightly and the sky was as blue as can be. When I visited Monaco in November 2013, it was winter and funnily enough, we experienced the same weather conditions again!
Nice, France. I have been here twice already and I still have fond memories of this place.
When Rick asked me where I wanted to travel to in December, I told him that we had not seen enough of France. I immediately remembered our Spring honeymoon which included a visit to Nice three years ago. The weather was warm with a slight breeze and the promenade had a vibrant feel about it. In November, my friend and I did a quick weekend trip to Milan. The best thing about Milan is that it is a quick flight from London (less than 1.5 hours), and if you book far in advance, you can buy airfares for £65 per person!
We had a great time eating and shopping. We woke up when we felt like, ate a 3 course breakfast and then walked through the streets of Milan as if we had all the time in the world! Continue reading “A whirlwind trip to Milan”
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that you had an amazing time with family and friends wherever you are in the world.
We spent Christmas in London this year with our London family – our good friends Lilian and Andrew. We enjoyed a hearty Christmas feast, good conversation, followed by a 2 hour episode of Downton Abbey! Love it! I really wish I could have lived in that century for just a little while. Florence is one of those cities that I wanted to take my parents to purely for its romantic atmosphere. To me, it is a city that inspires artists, architects and tourists like us who appreciate a beautiful city!
Looking at the food inspires those that appreciate the flavours of Italian sandwiches made from freshly baked bread and local ingredients, the natural sweetness of gelato and aroma of fresh pasta. Continue reading “Exploring Europe with my parents: Florence, Italy”
Good evening everyone! We visited Seville in Spain October and had an amazing time. The architecture was beautiful and the plazas were packed full of families enjoying their time together. It made me think about the little family that Rick and I are building together.
My pregnancy has limited my food choices but I still managed to eat and enjoy Spanish tapas (even know my mouth was watering when I saw other people eating cured meat!). Continue reading “WHAT MAKES SEVILLE SUCH A POPULAR PLACE TO VISIT? [PHOTO POST]”
Hola Chicos y Chicas! I spent a glorious 3 days in Malaga during the August long weekend and I must say – it was so hot! The weather in Malaga ranged from 30 to 40 degrees and I was melting!
Malaga is a city in Spain that is often overlooked by tourists who want to visit the trendy parts of Spain. Malaga is not my favourite Spanish city, but it has a lot to offer in the ways of Spanish culture. Continue reading “Food and Festivities in Malaga Spain”
