Taronga Zoo has always been a firm family favourite day out when I was a child. My parents used to take us there every summer and I remember being amazed at all the interesting animals that appeared to fall out of the pages of my book and into the sunny surroundings of Taronga Zoo. Read on to find out why I think Taronga Zoo is the perfect family day out for all ages! Continue reading “Local Lookout Series – Visit Taronga Zoo for the animals and panoramic views of Sydney”
I love brunch! I love brunch on weekends especially because it’s a relaxing start to the day and a great way to catch up with friends on the weekend. This weekend, we caught up with our lovely, soon to be married friends. Baby C adores them and is always ready to dance around and play peek a boo!
Our trip sponsor is Used industrial warehouse shelving – Arker specializes in the design, logistics and installation of industrial fixtures and product management systems.
One of the benefits of living in Sydney is that there are so many places to visit and each area is different.
“Australia is a diverse melting pot of cultures and destinations waiting to be discovered”.
I plan to kick off a series of blog posts called “local lookout” which will show you many aspects of Sydney that I have explored and loved. It’s a chance for me to be a tourist in my own city but also a great way to show the diversity that exists in this beautiful city. Maroubra Beach is hidden gem. Yesterday, we were at a barbecue and after sitting around chatting and enjoying food, our wonderful hosts asked us if we wanted to check out the nearby beach. It was 5pm and the sun was still brightly shining, so we agreed to take a quick walk to the beach. When we reached the beach, I was surprised to see how busy it was and so late in the afternoon. There were surfers, swimmers and sun bathers enjoying the cool sea breeze and even cooler waters. Since having a baby, we’ve found it challenging to find lunch and dinner venues. This weekend, we decided to brunch with friends at The Grounds of Alexandria.
We’ve been wanting to check out The Grounds of Alexandria for awhile since it’s been popping up on my Facebook feed. My friends posted photos of delicious food and gorgeous foliage. Well, after visiting The Grounds of Alexandria, I’ve come to the conclusion that it is this and so much more.
The Grounds of Alexandria has a Cafe where you can brunch with friends (and baby!) in a quirky, fun atmosphere. There are food carts selling home made lemonade, fresh berries and freshly baked mouth-watering pastries that could rival those served in hatted restaurants! Happy Chinese New Year!
We started the day eating delicious seafood and admiring the views from Sydney’s fish markets, famous for fresh and delicious seafood. We were able to catch up with some of our cousins and their babies while enjoying the warm weather and panoramic views of Pyrmont. I have some big news that I’d like to share with you all. For those that know me and for those that read my blog, you may have noticed that I’ve caught the travel bug, big time. Well, the travel bug just doesn’t seem to want to go away, so my husband and I thought that the best way to cure it is to go travelling! We also thought that at this time of our lives, it’s a great chance to explore somewhere new and live in a new country for awhile. Continue reading “I have some big news”
